The Spring 2009 Match Schedule
can be found here
in Excel format. If you are the home club, you must contact the referee to confirm the game and to give directions on the Wednesday prior to the match.
BOTH TEAMS must fill out a match form (either one match form or two separate ones).
The HOME TEAM is then responsible for sending in the match card. If the home team does not do this, the referee will not get paid and then we will lose the few referees we have. The match form can be found in the Forms/Information section of this site.
If the referee does not get this prior to the match, he or she is encouraged to walk away from the field.
This is not difficult. Compliance is mandatory. |

New Referees are always welcome |
There is a worldwide shortage of referees in all sports, but the shortage is especially acute in rugby. We're especially interested in former and current players, but persons with an interest in rugby are welcome also. Referee Certification Classes

Some useful links for refs |
Planet Rugby's Laws and Referees site should be required reading for all refs. Excellent discussions of rules and interpretations. It deals much more with real situations rather than law trivia. The IRB Laws & Regulations is the best source for the official Law and Law Rulings. The English RFU has some great info including some excellent law discussions. Learn Rugby Laws A lot of fun and improves your knowledge of the old Law Book! The quiz draws randomly from a pool of 452 questions of two types: Law questions and scenario questions. Law questions test knowledge of specific, individual Laws, while scenario questions test comprehension and application of the entire spectrum of Laws. It will keep a running score for you, as well as report your overall performance at the end.
